- My name is Dr. Millie Fell , I’m an ophthalmologist also known as an eye-MD. I came to medicine late in life as a second career having taught mathematics to gifted students for five years at Manhattan’s Hunter College HS, infamous now for educating Elana Kagan, President Obama’s pick as supreme court judge. By the time I completed my Ophthalmology residency at New York Medical Center, I had been married for seven years and had an eighteen month baby. I was lucky to be able to juggle the many facets of my life thanks to my wonderful husband, parents and in-laws. I live in NYC with my husband. I have three great kids, two boys aged 27 and 22 and a princess 18 years old and college-bound.
